and now...

And now we have a countertop complete with sink, tile and no holes. The med cabinet has 3 mirrored doors on it and there will be doors on the bottom too. It's coming right along, and considering I purchased all the ingredients over the course of a year and not necessarily having samples of each other item, I think it will work.

This is the before fixing it up but after it was all torn apart. Notice the holes in the wall , especially on the right hand side. Had to cut a hole to get our countertop in... Love this old-not one wall is square in the whole place-house!

Closer..

Our bathroom redo is closer than ever to being done. Pictures to follow soon. We now have the "john" in, as well as the vanity, countertop,medicine cabinet and tiles on. It looks really good. However the 4 bulbs in the med. cabinet are only small 40W and don't give off much light. It's kinda moody- as in it has subtle lighting. I like the feel of it in there but am not sure about the lighting for shaving and make-up etc. One more weekend and we should be able to get it all done- less if we get some free evenings this week.
Today we went to the Temple and to Lethbridge, so didn't really start working on it til 6pm.
Grateful every Sunday that it is a day of rest- at least for me. Dad, on the other hand, is usually busy most of the day. We're both hoping he can catch a power-nap at some point tomorrow.

I love to read blogs but tend to get lost and forget where I've been, so I thought if I had my own blog I could link to those I like to read a little easier. This is just to get me started. I'll soon learn how to post pictures- maybe the bathroom reno- and of course my wonderful girls and their kids. I enjoy reading their blogs over and over so hopefully I'll have something to entice them to read my blog occasionally.
